Show notes:

Listeners, be excited, be very, very excited: TRTR merch is coming soon, possibly — probably — as early as our next episode.  Stay tuned for an announcement of merch availability when we set that feature up for you.

Also, please be advised that in the unedited version of this episode (Episode 17, Appreciate The Crumple) Mal and Steve discussed the celebrity-influencer, Gwyneth Paltrow, now known at least in part as the purveyor of Goop.  Not wanting Gwyneth to hijack this ep, we have opted to downplay her presence in the edited version of it.  However, we cannot resist mentioning that she is referred to, by first name only, twice, the first time at around 6:42 of this ep., and much later at around 32:14.  Why do we mention these things?  Because (arguably) they justify our posting this link to a must-read (i.e. fun) BBC article about Gwyneth and the time she was sued, unsuccessfully, for a skiing accident she was involved in. That can be found at https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-65121857

For example, after noting that Gwyneth achieved fame in the influencer/purveyor realm by purveying such products as Goop and, to put it politely, crotch-scented candles (“currently sold out”), that article includes this delightful bit of information: “Early in the trial, Paltrow’s legal team asked whether her private security were allowed to ‘bring in treats for the bailiffs for how helpful they’ve been’… It’s thought Paltrow’s team wanted to express their gratitude for the bailiffs’ help in dealing with the large number of photographers outside court, trying to take shots of the actress arriving or leaving.  But the unusual request blindsided [the plaintiff’s] team, prompting a courtroom objection. That led the judge to say ‘thank you, but no thank you’ to the offer of treats.
