Listeners, the recording of our ride from Point A to Point B on December 21, 2025, was unusually productive. On that ride, your hosts were even more conversationally lively than usual, if you can believe that. As a result, that ride has produced not one but four segments, to be released in three episodes.

If it isn’t crystal clear from the audio of this segment, this ride began with Mal offering a handful of small chocolate chunks to Steve. What listeners will not also know (until reading this note) is that Steve had recently, before the ride, eaten a crumb of garlic off the dining room table where he had breakfast, in the mistaken belief that it was left over from some pie or cookie.
It is well and truly said in improv training that mistakes are opportunities. Also true in podcasts, at least this one.
